I have a MacBookPro with 8GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive. It was refurbished by Apple about 2 months ago because I kept getting the 'spinning beachball.' It still pops up frequently. I go to Onyx and run just the permission repair and it's OK for another few hours, then the beachball pops up again. I never have more than one or at the most two apps running at the same time.
What do you recommend I run on Onyx? I'm a newbie to this and don't want to destroy any of my data but this beachball is driving me nuts.
If there is a 'standard' regimen that you Onyx experts run, I will very much appreciate you walking me through what I need to do. Thank you very much for your knowledge and assistance.
